Death Certificate: Born in England in 1838, Thomas arrived in America in 1860 thereafter living mostly in West Virginia and Ohio. Census records reveal he had been a coal miner, day laborer and laborer in a "glass house," the latter at the age of 72 in 1910. The informant for his 1924 death certificate was his wife, whose given name is mostly found with one "t" at the end; here, however, we do see two.
