Photo: From Graceland Cemetery in Indian Grove Township, Livingston County, Illinois, comes this photo of the inscription for Solomon Cumpston on the tall monument shared with his wife, Delila Ann (Allum) Cumpston. According to Livingston County courthouse documentation [original, signed Physician's Death Certificate], Solomon's date of death was January 12, 1882--but is engraved "February 12, 1881" on his gravestone!

Solomon married Delila Ann ALLUM, daughter of Charles W. ALLUM and Jemima BARNHART, on February 26, 1846 in Greene County, Pennsylvania. (Delila Ann ALLUM was born on November 29, 1823 in Greene County, Pennsylvania, died on January 30, 1868 in Livingston County, Illinois and was buried in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury, Livingston County, Illinois.)
