Photo: In 1965 a spring house remained on the site of the former homestead of Charles W. Allum (1796-1868) in Richhill Township, Greene County, Pennsylvania. In the foreground is Shirley Allum Hudlicky's daughter Markita. A spring house was a small "house" constructed over a spring and used to keep food cool.
