Shirley Allum Hudlicky, October 14, 1965 letter to DeeAnna:
"Charles Monroe Swart told me who had gotten the lumber when the house was torn down. I asked him if he could get a small board from it."
DeeAnna Allum Granston, August 17, 1968 letter to Ruth Anna Martin Hicks:
"On June 30 [1968], Shirley Allum Hudlicky, my distant Allum cousin and genealogy partner, visited me with her ten-year-old daughter. She brought copies of several more data pages regarding Allum descendants, plus a piece of wood from the house of my 4th great grandfather, Charles Allum, 1796-1868. The house had been built in the early 1800s and torn down in the 1960s."
