  General Notes:

Document: Perhaps one of the first things you notice about this deed is the Allum surname with an "s" at the end. We do not know the reason but have found it spelled that way in some records in Greene County, Pennsylvania, even though our ancestors did not personally use that spelling.

Within the deed--recorded in 1863--Charles W. Allum conveyed land on his property to School Directors for the "Allum School."

Although some of the handwriting is faded, we can decipher,
