Original letter to DeeAnna from Mary E. Clarke (Mrs. Ralph W. Clarke), Secretary, Greene County Historical Society, North Morgan Street, Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, November 4, 1965, as follows:
We have a very good collection of indexed cemetery records but there are no Fields burials among them; also none of the associated names you mentioned.
I searched our records carefully and the only thing I found was the following Hitchcock inscription:
"Hitchcock, Leroy M., son of David and Lucinda
d. May 14, 1876, 1 yr. 7 mo. 18 da."
The above burial is in Sollars Cemetery, located on the blacktop road between Graysville and the Ackley Bridge in Richhill Township, near the road but badly overgrown. Record was made on May 31, 1965, by Patty Houston.
