OBITUARY (Doris):


Doris Irene Van Waes, age 85, of McKinney, Texas passed away June 2, 2009 in McKinney. Doris was born February 5, 1924 in Kellogg, Iowa. She was a waitress and bartender for many years, always a person of comfort, with a winning, warm smile, a real friend to all. Doris enjoyed playing Gin Rummy, Bingo, bowling, and was a die-hard Cubs fan. She had a mile wide "lucky streak" at all she did.

A graveside memorial will be given at her final resting place in Kellogg, Iowa beside her beloved mother. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Alzheimer's Foundation would be appreciated.
