Gravestone Charles Elmer ALLUM

Photo: When she visited Iowa in 1964 -- and Iowa cemeteries -- Shirley Allum Hudlicky photographed the stone of "Charley E." Allum and his second wife "Della R." in White Oak Cemetery, Prairie Township, Keokuk County, Iowa. "Charley E." was Charles Elmer Allum, 1882-1930, and "Della R." was Charley's second wife, Adella Fidela (Richardson) (Shifflett) Allum, 1883-1955.

In the background, and to the right, is the stone for Charley's father, Isaac Allum, 1828-1907, and Isaac's second wife, Sarah Ann Swart, 1842-1888. Sarah was Charley's mother.

Note the GAR marker for Isaac.
