OBITUARY (Elizabeth) from MARENGO DEMOCRAT, Marengo, Iowa County, Iowa, June, 1897:
Elizabeth A. Elliott was born in Miami county, Ohio, March 19, 1840, and moved with her parents to Iowa county, Iowa in 1849, and settled two miles east of Koszta. She was married to George Fields on March 25, 1858, and died at her home in Koszta June 25, 1897, aged 57 years, 3 months and 7 days. Mrs. Fields was a member of the Christian church. She was the mother of thirteen children, nine having gone on before her to the spirit land. She leaves a husband, two sons, two daughters, a brother and a large circle of other relatives and friends to mourn her departure. The funeral occurred Sunday and was large attended.
