ELIZABETH FUNK (Betsey Loar, Jacob) was born July 25, 1842. She was married at her home March 1, 1848 to Hugh Ruth whose former wife was Nancy Job, who had passed away [in] 1845, leaving six children. He was born April 1, 1808 in Md. We do not know jut how long these people lived in Pa. They later moved to Ia. and were found at Winterset, Ia. at the time of their deaths. He passed away January 21, 1896, eighty-eight years old, and she March 24, 1911, eighty-seven years, and both were int. in the McDonnal Cemetery at Winterset, Ia. She was active till the last, was a great reader and had a very keen mind.

Elizabeth married Hugh RUTH on March 1, 1848 in Greene County, Pennsylvania. (Hugh RUTH was born on April 1, 1808 in Maryland, died on January 21, 1896 in Winterset, Madison County, Iowa and was buried in McDonnal Cemetery, Winterset, Madison County, Iowa.)
