Photo: Anna Jane (Allum) Fowler was the fifth child and youngest daughter of John Allum and Nancy Wallace, their last child born in Greene County, Pennsylvania prior to migrating to Belmont County, Ohio. (A younger brother, Albert, was born in Ohio.) In her widower father's household in Ohio in 1900, "Jennie" was a telephone operator. She became the wife of Edward Fowler in 1905, giving birth to a son, John Edward Fowler, in 1906. Widowed in 1935, she lived for two decades more and was the last of her five siblings to pass on.
