Newspaper Article: Thirty years after the death of James Parker Allum, an explosion and fire occurred in the building that had been his "Allum House Hotel." A Waynesburg man named James Corwin was in critical condition. The event was described in the November 25, 1947 newspaper CHARLEROI MAIL, Charleroi, Greene County, Pennsylvania.
