Photo: Agnes Kathryn (Allum) Kent--called "Katie"--was the only child of James Newton Allum and his wife, Anna (Bowermaster) Allum. Like her parents she, too, died rather young--at age 44. She bore five children with Charles Elmer Kent, who oulived her by thirty years. Buried within the same cemetery as her parents--Our Silent City Cemetery at Kellogg, Jasper County, Iowa--her stone was photographed by Shirley Allum Hudlicky in 1965.
