Mrs. O. W. Day, Active in Church and Community Life, Passes Away After Illness of Six Weeks

FUNERAL SERVICE SUNDAY

WAYNESBURG, May 31.--Mrs. Clarice Rush Day, 46, well known resident of Western Greene County, died at 7 o'clock this morning in the Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh. She had been ill for the last six weeks and was in the hospital for three weeks.

Mrs. Day was born May 8, 1894, and was a daughter of Luther M. and Elizabeth Huffman Rush. She was married Jan. 9, 1915, to O. W. Day, who survives. Most of her life was spent in Richhill Township. She was a member of the Unity Presbyterian Church at Graysville and took an active interest in church and community affairs.

Besides her husband, she leaves one daughter, Mrs. Mary Gray, of Wind Ridge; one sister, Mrs. Ferne Stokes, of Oklahoma City, Okla; one brother, George Rush, of East Finley, and two grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the home in Wind Ridge where funeral services will be held Sunday, June 2, at 2 o'clock, in charge of her pastor, the Rev. J. Nelson Jackaway. Burial will be in the Braddock Cemetery, near Graysville.
