Obituary: As often occurred in those days, John Brewer spent his life in the same state, same county, same township. A citizen of Richhill Township, Greene County, Pennsylvania, John died in his home on February 20, 1929. Buried in Richhill Township, his remains are in Wind Ridge Cemetery (known also as Jacksonville Cemetery). Wife Anna and daughter Orpha (Brewer) Allum are nearby.

John Brewer, of Richhill Township, Greene County, Is Victim of Apoplexy

Wind Ridge, Feb. 20.--John Brewer, of Richhill township, Greene county, died Wednesday, February 20, 1929, in his home, aged 62 years and seven months. He was a son of the late Daniel H. and Margery Burns Brewer. In 1888 he was married to Miss Bella Brewer, who survives, with two daughters, Misses Elma and Frances, both teachers in the Washington public schools. A granddaughter, Cleo Allum, is a student in the High school at Claysville. A brother, David Brewer, lives in Washington. He was born and reared on the farm where he died.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 22, at 1:30 p.m. in the late home, conducted by Rev. A. M. Riggs, of Wind Ridge. Interment will be in the Wind Ridge cemetery.
