Obituary: When Mary Dague died in 1923, she had outlived her husband, John Adams Dague, by more than 13 years. Formerly married to David Ealy, she had become David's widow in 1883. Daughter of George Plants and Mary "Nancy" Seaman, Mary Martha (Plants) (Ealy) Dague had children (and descendants) with both husbands.

MRS. MARY DAGUE

Mrs. Mary Dague, aged 71 years, widow of John A. Dague, died at her home in East Finley township Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock following a lingering illness. Mrs. Dague was born in East Finley township in 1852, a daughter of George and Nancy Plants. She joined the Fairmount United Brethren at an early age and had been a life-long member of that church. She leaves the following children: Mrs. John Stollar of Washington; Mrs. Alex Sprowls of Claysville; Mrs. Walter E. Gamble of Dormont, and J. Bentley Ealy, by a former marriage, and Mrs. J. H. Allum, and Lawrence Dague, both of East Finley.

She is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: W. S. Plants of Claysville; J. L. Plants of Washington; Nathan Plants of Wheeling; and Mrs. Nannie Francis of Lamar, Colorado.

The funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Fairmount United Brethren church, in charge of the Rev. S. J. Wilson. The interment will be in the Fairmount cemetery.
