AMOS C. SWART DIES AT HOME IN GREENE COUNTY
Had Been One of Prominent Farmers and Stockraisers--Funeral Service Will Be Held Saturday Afternoon
Amos Clinton Swart, aged 78 years, died Wednesday night in his home near Swarts Station. He had been for years one of the most prominent farmers and stock raisers in Greene county.
Mr. Swart was born and reared in this vicinity in which he died and had a host of friends.
He leaves the following children: Miss Mary Swart, John Swart and Miss Altha Swart, at home; Jacob Swart, Colorado Springs, Col.; Mrs. Charles Lightner, Nineveh, and Miss Frances Swart, Pittsburgh. His wife, Mrs. Lucinda Swart, died about three years ago. Mr. Swart also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Florence Dunn, West Union, and Mrs. Bell Swart, Waynesburg.
Funeral services will be held from the late home Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Eastern Standard time, in charge of the Rev. John H.. Debolt, pastor of the West Washington Methodist Episcopal church of Washington. The interment will be in the Greene Grove cemetery, near the late home of the deceased.

AMOS C. SWART
Amos C. Swart, a well known and highly respected citizen, died at his home near Swarts Station, Wednesday evening, June 29, aged 78 years, of infirmities incident to advanced years. He had followed farming and stock raising. Mr. Swart had spent his entire life in the community in which he died and had a host of friends. His wife, Mrs. Lucinda Swart, died about three years ago. The following children survive: Miss Mary Swart, John and Miss Altha Swart, at home; Jacob Swart, Colorado Springs, Col.; Mrs. Charles Lightner, Nineveh, and Miss Frances Swart, Pittsburgh. Mr. Swart also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Florence Dunn, West Union, and Mrs. Belle Swart, Waynesburg. The funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. John H. Debolt, pastor of the West Washington M. E. church. Interment in Green Grove cemetery at Swarts.

MRS. A. C. SWART
Mrs. Lucinda Swart, wife of A. C. Swart, died at their home, near Swart's Station, Friday morning, March 14, aged 74 years, of pneumonia. Mrs. Swart's maiden name was Fonner and she was highly esteemed. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church. Beside her husband she leaves the following children: Mrs. Eva Lightner, of Marianna; Jacob Swart, of Colorado Springs, Col.; John Alfred, Mary and Frances Swart, all at home. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Pettit, of Sycamore, and two half sisters, Mrs. Martha Clutter, of Ellwood City, Pa., and Mrs. Florence Auld, of Nineveh, and a half brother, William McCullough, of Deer Lick. The funeral was held Monday. Interment in the Swart cemetery.

MRS. LUCINDA SWART
Mrs. Lucinda Swart, wife of Amos C. Swart, died at her home near Swart's Station, Tuesday, March 11, of paralysis. She was a daughter of Aaron and Eva Fonner Hedge and was born in the state of Indiana April 21, 1850. She was a member of the Swart's Methodist Episcopal church. Beside her husband she is survived by six children: Professor Jacob Swart, of Colorado Springs, Col.; Mrs. Charles Lightner, of Zollarsville; Miss Frances Swart, of Pittsburgh; Miss Mary Swart, of Carmichaels, John and Atha [should be "Altha" -DeeAnna] Swart, at home. Funeral services were held in the Swart's church, conducted by Rev. John Debolt of McDonald, Pa., assisted by Rev. E. M. Bussey. Interment in Green Grove cemetery.
