"Harold was born in Fallon, Montana but moved to Center, North Dakota when a child, then to Bismarck, North Dakota. He worked in the Vancouver shipyards during World War II, and Harold lived in a white house in the Park Rose section of Portland, Oregon. He was 4A in the draft.
"He moved to Clarkston, Washington in 1947.
"Harold was a Clarkston Methodist Church Board member and Communicant, President of the Lewiston/Clarkston Larbor Council, business agent for the Teamsters Union, and member of the Asotin County Housing Authority Board. He was also a member of the Lewis and Clark No. 751 Loyal Order of Moose; belonged to the President's Committee on Employment of the Physically Handicapped appointed by the Idaho State Chairman; and was a Member at Large and Committeeman for Troup 142, Lewiston, for the Lewis Clark Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He was highly respected by labor, as well as management people, in the Pacific Northwest and that local area.
"He was a tall and handsome with brown hair and blue eyes.
"He liked fishing, repairing lawn mowers and making doormats out of old tires."
