1850 CENSUS, Iowa, Muscatine County, Township 76 ("Angeline," age 20, is in the household of her father, Henry Hendrix (documented "Hendrit"), and Henry's wife Margaret, who may have been Angeline's stepmother; in addition to several siblings to Angeline...is a child, age 1, also documented "Angeline." Was this actually Alice? Supposedly, Alice's father, William H. Rockefeller, left Iowa for the California gold fields in 1849, returning some time in 1850. Therefore, it is possible Alice and her mother Angeline were indeed in the Hendrix household.
