Sworn statement by Joe and Mary, July 15, 1942 in Adair County, Oklahoma regarding their place of residence as Stilwell, Oklahoma, as follows:
Joseph Woodruff and Mary Woodruff being first duly sworn upon oath, each state that they are man and wife and reside at Stilwell, Adair County, State of Oklahoma.
Affiants further state that they are the father and mother of Harry B. Woodruff, that the said Harry B. Woodruff was born on October 6th, 1882 at Centerville, Iowa.
Affiants further state that the said Joseph Woodruff was born in the State of Ohio on April 25th, 1853 and that the said Mary Woodruff was born on September 1st, 1863 in Centerville, Iowa, that her maiden name was Mary Holman.
Affiants further state that Benjamin Woodruff and Margaret Woodruff nee Hiland were the father and mother of the said affiant Joseph Woodruff.
Affiants further state that William Holman and Lucender Holman nee Swearingin were the father and mother of the affiant Mary Woodruff.
Further affiants are saith not.

Former Residents Of Centerville Had 63rd Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Woodruff, Stillwell (sic), Oklahoma, former residents of this city, observed their sixty-third wedding anniversary recently at their home, according to report received here by Mrs. Woodruff's cousin, Mrs. Mose Beer.
Mr. and Mrs. Woodruff were married August 17, 1879 by Rev. F. Edwards of the First Baptist Church of Centerville, and to this union were born five children, of whom three are living, Harry Woodruff of Des Moines, Cara (sic) Roberts of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and Helen Sheffield of Pine Bluffs, Arkansas.
Mr. Woodruff is 89 years old and Mrs. Woodruff is 79. Mrs. Woodruff being born in Centerville and her husband in Pomeroy, Ohio. Mr. and Mrs. Woodruff moved to Oklahoma in 1906 and previous to that time, he owned a harness shop located where the Iowegian office is now. All the children were born in Centerville.

(Mary Martha HOLMAN was born on September 1, 1863 in Centerville, Appanoose County, Iowa, died on December 30, 1951 in Stilwell, Adair County, Oklahoma and was buried on January 2, 1952 in Stilwell City Cemetery, Adair County, Oklahoma.)
