1941 DEATH, H. Porter Sargent, at approximately 86 years (based upon a year 1855 birth)

Porter's Marion County, West Virginia death record defines his age "92 years 5 months 4 days." If accurate, his birth occurred on "February 16, 1849"; however, the 1860 census defines Porter as age 5, placing his birth about 1855. Because the 1900 census provides "February" as Porter's birth month, likely that, at least, is accurate.
