Mary Frye, wife of J. Freemont Miller, was found dead in bed Wednesday morning from heart disease or some kindred ailment. The husband and 7 or 8 children survive.
OBITUARY (Luther) from THE WASHINGTON OBSERVER, Washington, Washington County, Pennsylvania, Monday, May 27, 1929:
L. F. Miller
L. F. Miller, for many years a resident and highly respected citizen of West Finley township, died Saturday about 1:20 a. m. in his late home in West Finley. Mr. Miller was born July 18, 1855. He was educated in the West Finley public schools and was a farmer by occupation. In 1874 he was united in marriage to Miss Mary Frye, who died 23 years ago. He leaves the following children: James Miller, Mrs. Ida M. Dailey, and John L. Miller, all of Washington; Thomas Miller, of East Finley; William Miller, of Claysville; Mrs. Eliza Jane Krugle, of Prosperity, and Mrs. Pearl Carter, of Chester W. Va. The following brothers and sisters also survive: George Miller, of Hickory; Samuel, William, and Jesse Miller, of West Finley; Mrs. Ora Smalley, Mrs. Hattie Bedillion, Mrs. Bessie Scott and Mrs. Elizabeth Porter, all of Washington. The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in the Enon Valley church, with interment in West Finley cemetery

LUTHER FREMONT MILLER
Luther Fremont Miller, native and life long resident of West Finley township, died suddenly of apoplexy at his home, near Boyd's Bridge, Wheeling Creek, at 1:30 a.m. Saturday, May 25th, 1929, aged 73 years ten months and seven days. The funeral service was held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Enon Valley church. The service was conducted by J. E. Douglass, of Monongahela City, assisted by Gilbert Nuzum of Paden City, W. Va., ministers of the Church of God. The Staff family quartet, of Monongahela, and singers from Claysville sang for the service. The pallbearers were four sons--James and John Miller, of West Finley, and Wm. A. Miller, Claysville, and two sons-in-law, James Daily, of Washington, and Jack Krugle, of Prosperity. Burial was in West Finley cemetery.
Mr. Miller was born July 18, 1855, son of Alexander Miller. He attended his local district school and followed farming as an occupation. In 1874 he was united in marriage with Miss Mary Frye, whose death occurred in March, 1907. He confessed his faith in Christ at Enon Valley church years ago. He leaves the following children: James Miller, Mrs. Ida M. Dailey and John L. Miller, all of Washington; Thomas Miller, of East Finley; William A. Miller, of Claysville; Mrs. Eliza Jane Krugle, of Prosperity, and Mrs. Pearl Carter, of Crester, W. Va.; also the following brothers and sisters: George Miller of Hickory; Samuel, William and Jesse Miller, of West Finley; Mrs. Ora Smalley, Mrs. Hattie Bedillion, Mrs. Bessie Scott, and Mrs. Elizabeth Porter, all of Washington.
