Note: Dorothy recalled hearing a tale that one of her father's relatives was a Pony Express rider in the 1800s and he rode through hostile Indian territory for 3 days and 3 nights stopping only to change horses to save a man from hanging in Oklahoma Territory; he was supposed to have arrived only 10 minutes before the hanging was to have taken place.
Dorothy married Doyle BROWN, son of Sherman W. BROWN and Mary CHAPLIN, about 1925. (Doyle BROWN was born about 1902 in Iowa.)
Dorothy next married Clifford Destin McQUIE, son of Alexander Frederick McQUIE and Martha Ann LONG, on February 19, 1937.
