OBITUARY (Nancy "Maye") from DEMOCRAT MESSENGER, Waynesburg, Greene County, Pennsylvania, August 7, 1936:


Mrs. Maye Wiley

Funeral services for Mrs. Maye Wiley, who died at the home of her son, Boyd Wiley, Washington, R. D. 6, Wednesday at 2 o'clock, will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the N. R. Bebout Funeral Home, Washington, Pa. Burial will be in Rosemont Cemetery at Rogersville. The casket will be opened at the grave.

Mrs. Wiley was aged 62 and died after an extended illness. She was the widow of the late John F. Wiley and daughter of the late Jefferson Younkin. She was a member of the South Ten Mile Baptist Church near Graysville but attended the Allison Avenue Baptist Church after moving to Washington. She was a member of the Daughters of Union Veterans.

The following children survive: Edith, wife of Charles Baker, Amity; Verne, wife of Morris Gaus, Amity; Fay, wife of Troll Gaus, Amity; and sons, Kenneth Wiley, Hollidays Cove, W. Va., and Boyd, at whose home she died. She also leaves 19 grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Clark Jones, Graysville, and a brother, T. J. Younken, of Waynesburg.
