  General Notes:

Photo: A native of Jasper County, Iowa, Nancy lived most of her life in that county. As of the 1920 census, however, Nancy is found in Minnesota with her husband John where both died, she in 1923, he in 1928. Returned to Jasper County both are buried with individual but matching stones in Newton Union Cemetery, Newton, Iowa.

1843 BIRTH of Nancy Jane Green (sometimes called "Jennie")

Nancy was a daughter of Willis and Mary (Kirby) Green. Her father Willis was born April 3, 1816, died May 23, 1903 at age 87, and is buried in Newton Union Cemetery, Newton, Jasper County, Iowa; Nancy's mother Mary died at age 95 on July 27, 1917 and is also buried in Newton Union Cemetery.
